Once again, I have watched the night fade into the greys and blues of dawn, talked to amazing people, and let the burn of sleep deprivation sting my eyes while Blue Skies by Noah and The Whale plays. This is pure happiness. It's bliss. It's freedom. It's everything I live for. Yes, I would prefer to be in San Francisco, with a male body and a crumpled cigarette between my bandaged fingers... But this isn't half bad.

I walked out of my room tonight. And I took a deep breath. And I smelled something that I couldn't quite name. It smelled like those times when I used to be in school, when the nights were chilly and I would walk around in a huge coat, enjoying the streetlights and the starry sky. And then I realized I was smelling Fall. Crisp. Clear. Cool. All I ever wanted.
